Nuzlocke Challenge! Start - Route 202

I am aware of my absence from blog writing and decided to try to make up for it, with my "PokeDiary" of my attempt at the Nuzlocke Challenge. If you are unaware, here are the rules:
  1. If a Pokemon faints, it dies, end of story.
  2. When you enter an area, you can only catch the first Pokemon you see.
Despite the difficulty that the challenge already brings, I shall put my own personal spin on it!
  1. I must name every Pokemon I catch, to add personal connection.
  2. ABSOLUTELY NO LEGENDARIES (Catching is allowed, I can't bring myself not to)
  3. If I lose a battle, that's it, game over.
  4. Battle style must be "set".
  5. Instead of releasing, I shall make a graveyard in my PC for those I have lost.

Now let's begin!

After dealing with my Rival, (Whom I have named Roland) he ran off saying that I'd owe him $10,000,000 on two different occasions. After finally catching up to that caffeine whirlwind, we ran into a man named Prof. Rowan who was all "HEY, HAVE SOME POKEMON!" to which we were all "SURE THING, YOU CREEPY OLD MAN!" Going along with the Old Man's random whims, I picked a Turtwig to join me in my adventure, who I named Chelona. Immediately after Rowan and his assistant departed, Roland challenged me like some lunatic. By some miracle Roland was a failure enough to lose with a type advantage, at least I left with a levelled up Pokemon.

After saying goodbye to my mother and gaining myself a nifty pair of sneakers. Once I thought I'd be starting my journey, Roland interrupted again and decided that the best course of action was to catch a nearby legendary, which would benefit me in no way at all. After going through all the trouble of trying to locate it he realizes that we have no Pokeballs, so he decides to race me to Rowan's lab in Sandgem town. It saddens me that this idiot has to be my rival.

Upon arriving I find the assistant telling me that Rowan has requested my presence, strange, considering I just met the guy. He told me about how surprised he was to see the bond that my Turtwig and I shared right from the moment we met. They seemed pretty happy that I'm so nice to Pokemon. Dawn continued on to show me how PokeCenters and Stores worked, seemed pretty simple to me. I stopped by the store to pick up a few Pokeballs and talked to a couple other patrons.

I marched up the path towards Route 202, eager to start my adventure.
